The blade undergoes ice-hardening, resulting in a 60 Rockwell Hardness ensuring outstanding durability, high corrosion resistance and flexibility. The Katana edge is finished in the traditional 3-step Honbazuke method and hand-honed by an artisan. The extremely fine blade edge is set at the traditional Japanese blade angle of 9.5 to 12.
