Monograms consist of three letters and are available in circle, interlocking, diamond and roman shapes. Typically, the first initial of the last name is placed in the center of the monogram (making it larger) with the first initial of the first name to the left and the first initial of the middle name to the right. For example John Alan Smith would appear as JSA. Only letters are allowed; no numbers can be used.

When engraving a couple's monogram for a wedding, anniversary, etc., the first initial of the couple's last name should appear in the center, with first initial of the woman's first name to the left and first initial of the man's first name to the right. So John Smith and Michelle Smith would appear as MSJ.

The Kershaw Shun Mezzaluna Knife & Board Set is a superior cutting board that measures 9.5 x 9.5 x 2.5-in. The bamboo board features a slot carved directly into the top surface to hold the Mezzaluna knife. The rubber feet on the bottom of the board protect kitchen and counter top surfaces. The surface is 16% harder that maple, allowing for less cutting marks. Along with the hard surface, bamboo doesn't absorb moisture, ensuring that your board will maintain its shape with washing, time and time again. Not only is bamboo an ideal working surface for cutting, it's a safe and ecological choice. Bamboo is a grass, not a wood that grows quickly and replenishes itself. Made in Japan, Lifetime Warranty.

The Mezzaluna Knife features the look and benefits of Damascus steel, yet without its rusting problems. The Damascus-look blade profile reduces sticking and results in less damage to the food being cut and faster prep times. In addition, the black Pakkawood handles provide the beauty of genuine wood, but since the wood is impregnated with a waterproof resin- they are as durable as plastic. VG-10 Stainless steel is clad with 16 layers of SUS410 high-carbon stainless steel on each side, producing a 33-layer rust-free Damascus look with a Rockwell rating of 61. VG-10 "Super steel" is composed of Carbon, Chromium, Cobalt, Manganese, Molybdenum, Silicon and Vanadium.
